The board is finished with a simple and natural salt and olive oil rub (the traditional method for seasoning and cleaning wooden chopping boards), which ensures it is food safe and also remains wipe clean. An eye-catching piece on any dining table or kitchen countertop. 
 
Cleaning and care - top tips
If used as a chopping board, we recommend flipping it over and chopping on the reverse side so as not to damage the design. Avoid cutting meat on a wooden chopping board. When cleaning, it's best to avoid soaking, avoid abrasive sponges, etc. a good wipe off with a dish cloth and a little washing up detergent and rinse is best to ensure it stays in the best condition. Wiping over your board with a little olive oil (leave for a minute or two, then wipe dry) will also help to maintain it and keep it in the best condition for years to come.
As a placemat, any food residue can be wiped away with a dish cloth as above. As both a placemat and wall mounted decoration, a soft cloth and furniture polish can be used to keep it looking lovely.
